Privacy Policy — Last updated March 6, 2026
We built Imposter Word Game to be played with friends, not to collect your data. This policy explains what information the app touches and why.
Imposter Word Game is a local pass-and-play game. Player names you enter and game state are stored only on your device and never sent to us or any server. We don't require an account to play and we don't track gameplay behavior.
The free version of the app shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob collects certain information automatically to serve relevant ads, including your device's advertising identifier, general location, and device information. This data is handled according to Google's Privacy Policy, which you can read at policies.google.com/privacy.
Upgrading to Pro removes all ads completely.
The Pro upgrade is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely through Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details. All billing is handled by Google under their own terms at play.google.com/about/play-terms.
The only third-party services used by this app are Google AdMob (free users only) and Google Play Billing (Pro purchases). No analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or other tracking tools are included.
Because we don't collect or transmit personal data, there is no data stored on our end that could be compromised. Device-local data such as player names is only as secure as your device itself.
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you're okay with it.
